More Adventures with Peggy....

Hello lovelies! Well I am playing catch up with Peggy and her adventures. My computer has been poorly and was sent away for repair so of course I haven't been able to blog about Peggy as all my photos were on the computer. Anyway, since last time we have had excellent progress with Peggy!

We decided to buy a harness as she hated the lead on her collar, we had amazing success...she absolutely loves it!

We take her out now for lots of walks and we have been training her ourselves. Peggy is learning so very quickly too. We decided to train Peggy ourselves instead of going to Puppy training as she has such a lovely character I don't want that to be trained out of her. Anyway, she is doing really well.

Peggy has learnt to sit and stay. When I take her for a walk she sits at every kerb until I tell her to cross the road. I give her lots of love and plenty of praise every time. I also get her to heel too which she is doing pretty well at. The other things we have just trained her to do this week are to not jump up at people, I felt this was important to teach her early as some people don't like doggies and maybe are a bit frightened of them, well Peggy will grow quite a lot so I want to make sure she won't bowl them over in her excitement on greeting people.
We also take her off the lead now when it is safe to do so. Would you believe that at just 15 weeks old she actually comes back to us when called. Amazing, she truly is amazing!

The other thing she has learnt this week is to fetch and return her ball, and to drop it so we can throw it again for her. Peggy loves playing this game, of course she get's distracted if there are other people around to play with!

We are socialising Peggy by taking her to places with lots of people, so when they come up we let them pet her, she has played with other doggies now too. I call in the vets just to say hello and they give her a little treat too for being a good girl.

We have been on the beach, she wasn't too sure about the water though lol. We did have a lot of fun!

Also Peggy has now discovered she can get upstairs too. Of course I am letting her, I did help her on the bed one day lol..... we both got into trouble for that one off Daddy lol.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at the photos, we did have a bit of catching up to do!

Peggy goes to work......

Hello lovelies, we hope you have had  a lovely week and been enjoying the beautiful sunshine. We have had a very busy week!

Peggy can now go out for a walk but at the moment we are trying to get her to walk with the lead. We have introduced it quite early by mixing it in with her toys, leaving it lying around and rubbing it onto familiar smells. We attached it to Peggy's collar and let her walk around the house with it, we tried rewards, praise lots of cuddles and more praise...Peggy hate's it!
Absolutely terrified of it she is bless her. This is the first lead we tried with...

Peggy decided she was not moving a muscle...so we thought maybe it's too wide. Our next step was to go buy a proper training lead, which is longer and thinner. We mixed it in with her toys...

Again, she was having none of it. Peggy is terrified of it...we are putting it on her, but she will not budge at all. Trembling away, she really doesn't like it. Anyway, today we visited Pets At Home and also bought a harness. It is now laid on her day bed, but she took one look at it and walked away.
We will keep at it, I just know eventually she will get used to it, time and perseverance and we will get there I'm sure!

Our visit to the pet shop today was good fun. Darren was carrying Peggy and she was getting quite heavy so he put her down for a bit, and she kept to our sides so well. Never wandered off, of course we kept a keen eye on her. We took her to the toy section and she chose a new toy which when we got home she curled up on the sofa with...

and mummy couldn't resist getting her some other toys too, this is just one of them...

On Thursday we took Peggy to work for half a day...here she is in daddies office...

she loved it in my salon too...

Looking at daddy through the window, she certainly created some interest!

On Friday I was cooking tea, I leave the kitchen door open so she can wander in and out the garden as she pleases, all went quiet. What was Peggy doing when I went to look...

Who says dogs don't smile look how much fun she's had! LOL

A bit later on this is what else she did...

As you can see she is enjoying digging holes!

Peggy loves playing in the garden with her toys, this is another favourite...

Well after a busy week and a busy time in the pet shop today, everyone loved her and kept making a fuss and she even met some new doggy friends too...this is what she did when she had finished her dinner...

Awww bless her she's tired out now!

So, hopefully by next week I will be able to tell you that she has been for her first walk. I hope you have enjoyed reading about what Peggy has been doing this week. We are absolutely loving having her around, my house is filled with lots of love, fun and laughter...the three of us together...life couldn't be more perfect than this for me!

Thank you for stopping by today and we really look forward to your next visit. We will be back next Sunday to share more adventures with Peggy.

Lots of Pawfect love to you all,
from the three of us,

A Fun Filled Week With Peggy...

Hello lovelies, and welcome to another exciting and fun filled week of Peggy and her adventures.

On Monday we took Peggy to the vet's for her last injection and she was such a good girl. We also had her chipped, she had her Kennel Cough injection and her worming tablets too. Wow was she a good girl, she absolutely loved the vet, who gave her a treat after all that too. We also gave her lots and lots of cuddles. We have only one more week to wait now and then we can take her for a walk. So excited about this!

Peggy is a good girl too as she is now wearing her collar. At first she wasn't that impressed, but after a little bit of time and patience she is wearing it all the time now. We are on the mission of getting her used to her lead now, we have introduced her to it in short spells.

Darren has also taught her to sit too, which she does perfectly. I think Peggy will learn very quickly when she goes to Puppy classes. We are certainly having fun with her, it feels like she has always been with us now. How quickly we have all settled in to our new routine.

So, I have some photos to share with you from Peggy and her adventures this week. Hope you enjoy them...
